Phillip Camm died from wounds on 30th March, 1915, after having been sent to a base hospital on the coast, but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 2nd Middlesex battalion was part of 23 Brigade, 8th Division, that had been involved in the Battle of Neuve Chapelle earlier in the month when they suffered many casualties.
